We hopped along to rhythmic chaos

The stars above the playground shined

The swings swung on their own

We sat on the slide

and slid into oblivion

The music tranquilized our

vicious, distorted hearts

We hopped along to

a titanic transformation

The awning of the desert

rocked the boats in the sea

In the jungle was where we feasted

upon a dagger to our souls

We rocked the boats

of a meaningless life

Sanctuaries of disastrous commerce

sailed past us on furious wakes

We hopped along to

the sound of our boots as they

kicked voids in the walls

stomped craters in the ground

The sound of swords clashing

with damaged splashes of lightning

The vicious bite of the cold night air

We sat on the slide and sailed

through devious centers of bliss

The canisters of color shot confetti

that gave feelings to the greyness

We hopped as

barriers between right & wrong

dug up the cement with flaming shovels

of demented self-righteousness

We shot down the world as the world

shot up city blocks and shopping centers

We hopped to the rhythms of

gunfire and crackling dynamite

as it gave us tribute to our independence

We celebrated the downfall of

furious deformities

Climbing out of the mouth of hell

we sang our destructive fury

The cops rushed in to

our playground we were only playing

much too loud we didn’t

put up a fight we scattered

like a rambling rose

Gatling guns blew holes in the sun

The night was young we were so young

We hopped along to our mutilated fun
